2017 Guangdong Kerun Pharmaceutical Company’s Trip to Guizhou
2017-08-15
It’s August once again—every year, this time of year brings both a solemn mid-year work‑review conference and the much‑anticipated company-wide group trip. From August 8 to 10, following the conclusion of Guangdong Kerun Pharmaceutical’s midyear meeting, the company organized a three‑day summer excursion to Guizhou, designed to foster mutual understanding across departments and strengthen team cohesion. Along the way, participants were treated to rolling mountain ranges, where they could savor nature’s serene beauty; majestic waterfalls, inspiring awe at the wonders of the natural world; and quaint, time‑honored towns, offering a glimpse into the charm of traditional culture. All set against a backdrop of breathtaking scenery, everyone’s spirits remained brimming with enthusiasm and anticipation.
First stop: Qianling Mountain Park, renowned as “the First Mountain of Southern Guizhou.”
Within the park, towering peaks are cloaked in emerald green, ancient trees reach for the sky, and the forests thrive in lush abundance, creating a serene and far‑reaching landscape—so much so that it is renowned as “precious in the heart of the city, beautiful in nature.” It is celebrated far and wide for its Ming Mountain, clear waters, secluded groves, ancient temples, sacred springs, and spirited monkeys. Come and immerse yourself in nature, letting its gentle embrace renew your spirit. As you ascend the stone steps to the summit, little monkeys darting about can be spotted at every turn—on the stone paths, atop pavilions—inviting you to pause, connect with the natural world, and savor the harmonious beauty of humanity’s bond with nature.

Stop Two: The Huangguoshu Waterfall—Majestic and Spectacular
When Guizhou is mentioned, the first thing that comes to mind is the Huangguoshu Waterfall. The Huangguoshu Scenic Area boasts a wealth of attractions. Following the guide’s lead, we began with the Doupotang Waterfall—the very cascade that Tang Sanzang and his disciples crossed at the end of “Journey to the West.” Lush, rolling hills and crystal‑clear streams created an immersive, almost magical experience. Next, we explored the Tianxingqiao Scenic Area, weaving through limestone formations and pools, forging a close bond with nature. Finally, we reached the much‑anticipated Huangguoshu Grand Waterfall. Though the area was bustling with visitors, our enthusiasm remained undiminished as we took in the sheer grandeur of the falls. The cascading water flowed like delicate threads, while the rushing torrents resembled flying shuttles, together forming a natural water curtain—a breathtaking landscape painting. With water plunging straight down and mountains and waters blending into a seamless line, one cannot help but marvel at nature’s extraordinary artistry.

Stop Three: The Timeless Ancient Town of Qingyan
On the cobblestone streets, one can glimpse a Christian church, a Buddhist temple, and a traditional paifang just a few steps apart. Exquisitely designed and masterfully crafted Ming and Qing‑era buildings stand in close succession, their temples and pavilions adorned with elaborately painted beams and intricately carved rafters, their soaring eaves and layered roofs alternating in graceful harmony. This small ancient town encapsulates a wealth of cultural elements, radiating a profound sense of historical charm. Stepping into the former residence of Zhao Yijiong, Guizhou’s first zhuangyuan in history, the former home of Mr. Ping Gang, Secretary-General of Marshal Sun Yat‑sen’s office, as well as the site of the internationally shocking “Qingyan Incident,” and the former dwellings of relatives of elder proletarian revolutionaries such as Zhou Enlai, Deng Yingchao, and Li Kenong, visitors cannot help but marvel at the town’s remarkably rich tapestry of cultural and historical landmarks.

As everyone reflects on this journey, they are already beginning to prepare for the next phase of work. We are confident that each employee will approach their duties with renewed energy and even greater enthusiasm.
Looking forward to your letter.
