To implement the spirit of the Qingyuan City Conference on Rural Revitalization and Poverty Alleviation, and in accordance with the municipal Party committee and government’s plan to engage private enterprises in poverty‑alleviation efforts, Guangdong Kerun Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has actively joined the “One Hundred Enterprises Assist One Hundred Villages” targeted poverty‑alleviation initiative. By translating this initiative into concrete actions, the company is contributing to the fight against poverty and advancing rural revitalization.
On January 16, 2020, as the Spring Festival approached, General Manager Zeng and Deputy General Manager Guo, along with other members of the management team from Guangdong Kerun Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., visited Tang’an Village in Damai Mountain Town, Liannan County, to carry out a New Year poverty‑alleviation outreach program.
At the Party–Mass Service Center in Tang’an Village, General Managers Zeng and Guo held a symposium with village officials. General Manager Zeng gained an in-depth understanding of the paired‑assistance households’ living conditions and production activities, exchanged views on how to achieve poverty alleviation and wealth creation, and put forward relevant recommendations. Drawing on the region’s topographical features and KERUN’s expertise in livestock‑breeding guidance, General Manager Zeng proposed a poverty‑alleviation model that leverages financial and technical inputs while mobilizing labor resources. At the household level, KERUN actively provides farmers with professional breeding techniques to support the development of the livestock sector as a pathway out of poverty; at the cooperative level, it recruits villagers who are interested in joining to establish small‑scale chicken‑raising cooperatives, thereby cultivating a distinctive local brand for Tang’an Village; and at the employment‑generation level, KERUN offers stable job opportunities and welcomes young people who wish to participate.
Subsequently, General Manager Ke Run, General Manager Guo, and other members of the delegation distributed Spring Festival gifts and cash assistance to impoverished households in Tang’an Village, presenting them with rice, cooking oil, gift packages, and heartfelt New Year wishes. Spring blessings have enabled impoverished households to deeply feel the sincere care of the enterprise.
This outreach initiative has enabled Kerun to deepen its engagement with society and rural communities, gaining first-hand insights into local conditions. With a stronger sense of responsibility, mission, and urgency, the company is committed to advancing targeted poverty alleviation and eradication efforts, thereby contributing its resources and expertise to the successful conclusion of the battle against poverty.
