Deep Affection on the Dragon Boat Festival, Heartwarming Care—The Party Branch of Guangdong Kerun Conducts a Festival‑Commemoration Outreach Activity

The fragrant aroma of zongzi leaves mingles with the heartfelt spirit of the Dragon Boat Festival. On June 8, as the annual traditional festival of the Dragon Boat Festival approached, the Party branch of Guangdong Kerun Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., in conjunction with Party history study and education, carried out a solid “Doing Practical Things for the People” initiative. Led by the company’s general manager, a delegation comprising employees and Party members visited Tang’an Village in Damai Mountain Town, Liannan County, to conduct outreach and offer condolences.
Kerun employees, together with village officials and villagers in need from Tang’an Village, gathered at the Party Members’ Activity Center to review the poverty‑alleviation efforts of the past year. In 2020—the decisive year for securing a complete victory in the battle against poverty—Kerun proactively engaged in poverty‑reduction work in Tang’an Village. Starting with on‑site visits and surveys, the company leveraged its own strengths and the local area’s resource advantages to explore innovative approaches, proposing a poverty‑alleviation initiative centered on raising specialty Chinese‑medicine‑flavored chickens. The effort then moved to field briefings for villagers in need, detailing progress in implementing these measures; Kerun distributed 650 chicks, four tons of feed, feeding and watering equipment, and nutritional supplements free of charge, while dispatching a team of technical experts to provide hands‑on guidance on livestock management directly at households. Ongoing follow‑up ensured continued support, with repeated free deliveries of feed until, by year’s end, villagers were able to sell their chickens and reap substantial returns. Through concrete action, Kerun actively helped villagers brainstorm solutions, address funding challenges, and overcome obstacles to industrial development. During the meeting, villagers raised numerous questions about chicken‑raising practices, which the company’s general manager personally addressed, offering professional technical advice to guide them in their farming endeavors.
Following the meeting, the general manager of Kerun led a team to deliver condolence gifts—including zongzi, rice, and cooking oil—to villagers facing hardship. They gained a thorough understanding of the villagers’ thoughts and living conditions, engaged in warm conversations, listened to their current challenges, and encouraged them to strengthen their confidence in rural revitalization and translate that confidence into concrete actions.
Through this initiative, villagers facing hardship have felt the warmth and care of the Party organization, bolstering their confidence and resolve to overcome adversity. This outreach effort not only serves to review past experiences but also aims to chart a more effective and sustainable path for rural revitalization. Moving forward, Kerun will further strengthen its ties with Tang’an Village, leveraging its strengths and resources to create a new vision for rural rejuvenation.
