[Main Ingredients] Pulsatilla, Coptis, Phellodendron, and Fraxinus.
【Characteristics】 This product is a light grayish-yellow powder; it has an aromatic odor and a bitter taste.
[Function] Clears heat and detoxifies, cools the blood and stops dysentery.
[Indications] Damp-heat diarrhea, with dysentery characterized by pus and blood.
Clinical manifestations include depression, elevated body temperature, loss of appetite or complete anorexia, excessive thirst and polydipsia, occasional mild abdominal pain, markedly increased frequency of defecation, frequent straining during bowel movements, tenesmus, watery stools containing pus, blood, and mucus with a fishy or even fetid odor, scanty reddish urine, a red oral mucosa, a thick yellow tongue coating, halitosis, and a deep, rapid pulse.
【Usage and Dosage】 Horses and cattle: 150–250 g; sheep and pigs: 30–45 g; rabbits and poultry: 2–3 g.
[Adverse Reactions] When used at the recommended dosage, no adverse reactions have been observed to date.
[Precautions] Contraindicated in individuals with spleen and stomach deficiency-cold.
