【Characteristics】 This product is a off-white powder or brownish-yellow granules.
[Pharmacological Actions]
Maduramicin ammonium is a monovalent glycoside ionophore anticoccidial with a broad spectrum of activity. It exhibits high efficacy against Eimeria species in chickens, including E. tenella, E. maxima, E. necatrix, E. brunetti, and E. acervulina, and remains effective even against strains resistant to other polyether‑type anticoccidials. Maduramicin disrupts the early stages of the coccidian life cycle—specifically the sporozoite and first‑generation schizont phases—both inhibiting parasite growth and achieving lethal effects. When administered to chickens at a dietary concentration of 5 mg/kg, maduramicin ammonium has an elimination half‑life of approximately 24 hours in tissues such as the liver, kidneys, muscle, skin, and adipose tissue.
[Functions and Uses] An ionophore anticoccidial agent of the polyether class. Used for the prevention of coccidiosis in chickens.
【Usage and Dosage】 Based on this product. Mixed feeding: 500 g per 1,000 kg of feed for chickens.
[Adverse Reactions]
It is highly toxic with a narrow safety margin; even at a relatively high concentration (7 mg/kg of feed), incorporation into the diet can induce varying degrees of poisoning in chickens, potentially leading to death.
[Precautions]
(1) May be used in commercial feed and during the farming process.
(2) Chickens raised for egg production intended for human consumption shall not be used during the laying period.
(3) When administering the product, precise dosing is essential, and the formulation must be thoroughly mixed; do not arbitrarily increase the concentration of use.
(4) The feces of chickens treated with maduramicin must never be reused as feed for working animals, as this may cause poisoning and even death.
