【Physical State】 This product is a white powder.
[Pharmacological Actions]
Sulfonamide antibacterial agents. Sulfamonomethoxine inhibits dihydrofolate synthesis by competitively binding to dihydrofolate synthase, thereby blocking nucleic acid synthesis and suppressing bacterial growth and reproduction. Trimethoprim, on the other hand, inhibits dihydrofolate reductase, preventing the reduction of dihydrofolate to tetrahydrofolate and thus interfering with microbial nucleic acid synthesis. When used in combination, sulfamonomethoxine and trimethoprim exert a dual blockade of folate metabolism, resulting in a synergistic antibacterial effect.
[Functions and Uses]
Sulfonamide antibacterial agent. Used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria in chickens, such as respiratory and gastrointestinal infections, as well as coccidiosis and histomoniasis.
【Usage and Dosage】 Based on this product. For mixed drinking: 1–2 g per 1 L of water, administered to chickens for 3–5 consecutive days.
[Adverse Reactions] Long-term use may damage the kidneys and the nervous system, impair weight gain, and potentially lead to sulfonamide toxicity.
[Precautions] (1) Prohibited during the laying period of egg-laying hens. (2) Continuous use should not exceed one week.
[Withdrawal Period] Chicken on the 28th.
