【Characteristics】 This product is a off-white powder.
[Pharmacological Actions]
Pharmacodynamics Dimetridazole is an antiprotozoal agent with broad-spectrum antibacterial and antiprotozoal activity. It is effective against anaerobic bacteria, Vibrio, streptococci, staphylococci, and spirochetes, as well as against trichomonads, ciliates, and amoebae.
[Drug Interactions] It must not be used in combination with other anti-trichomonad agents.
[Functions and Uses] Antiprotozoal agent. Used for swine dysentery caused by Brachyspira and avian histomoniasis.
【Usage and Dosage】 Based on this product. Mixed feeding: per 1,000 kg of feed, 1,000–2,500 g for pigs and 400–2,500 g for chickens.
[Adverse Reactions] Chickens are relatively sensitive to this product; high doses may cause balance disturbances and damage to liver and kidney function.
[Precautions]
(1) It must not be used in combination with other anti‑Trichomonas agents.
(2) Chickens should not be treated continuously for more than 10 days.
(3) Prohibited during the laying period of egg-laying hens.
