【Characteristics】 This product is a white or off-white powder.
[Pharmacological Actions]
Cyromazine is an insecticide that inhibits molting in dipteran larvae, particularly during the first instar, thereby impeding fly larval reproduction and causing pupal stages to fail to molt and die. When administered orally to chickens, even at extremely low concentrations in feces, it can completely eliminate fly larvae. At a feed concentration of 1 mg/kg, it effectively controls the development of most fly larvae in manure, while 5 mg/kg is sufficient to suppress all developmental stages of flies. Typically, the drug begins to exert its effect 6 to 24 hours after administration, with activity lasting for 1 to 3 weeks.
Following oral administration, this product is poorly absorbed in chickens, with melamine as the primary metabolite. It is predominantly excreted unchanged in the feces. Due to cyromazine’s low lipid solubility, it rarely accumulates in tissues. It has no adverse effects on animal growth, egg production, or reproductive performance.
[Functions and Uses] Fly-killing agent. Used to control the reproduction of fly larvae in animal housing facilities.
【Usage and Dosage】 Based on this product. Mixed feeding: 500 g per 1,000 kg of feed for chickens. Use continuously for 4–6 weeks.
[Adverse Reactions] No adverse reactions have been observed when used as directed.
[Precautions]
(1) When the concentration of this product in the feed reaches 25 mg/kg, feed intake may increase; at concentrations exceeding 500 mg/kg, feed intake may decrease; and long-term feeding at levels above 1,000 mg/kg may result in death due to insufficient food intake.
(2) It is advisable to apply 1,000–2,000 kg of chicken manure treated with this product per hectare; applications exceeding 9,000 kg may be detrimental to plant growth.
