【Characteristics】 This product is a off-white powder.
[Pharmacological Actions]
Dioxyquinol is a quinoline‑type anticoccidial agent that primarily inhibits the development of coccidian sporozoites, with its peak efficacy occurring on the first day following coccidial infection. Because it markedly suppresses the host’s immune response to coccidia, it should be administered continuously throughout the entire growth cycle of broiler chickens. Coccidia readily develop resistance to dioxyquinol; therefore, periodic rotation of anthelmintic agents is recommended. Its anticoccidial activity is closely related to particle size: the finer the particles, the more potent the effect. It is advisable to formulate the product as microparticles with a diameter of approximately 1.8 μm for optimal use.
[Functions and Uses]
Anticoccidial drug. Used for the prevention of coccidiosis in chickens caused by various species of coccidia, including Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. maxima, E. brunetti, E. acervulina, and others.
【Usage and Dosage】
Calculated on the basis of this product. Mixed feeding: 453 g per 1,000 kg of feed for broilers, administered continuously for 7–14 days.
[Adverse Reactions] No adverse reactions have been observed when used as directed.
[Precautions] It must not be used in feeds containing bentonite.
[Withdrawal Period] Chicken for 5 days.
